Nicole Stine, AIA, NCARB
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, I am proud to have had the opportunity to call Central Washington home. My journey to Montana was driven by my thirst for any type of adventure and my desire to be a part of a community that values relationships and hard work. A detour following graduation led me to the Bay Area in Northern California. While its energy appealed to my sense of adventure, I returned to Bozeman shortly after, a testament to the relationships I had cultivated in Montana.
My passion for architecture runs deeper than just design and is instead rooted in a desire to problem solve. As a big sister, I have been “solving” my little brother’s problems since he was born. As a member of the SMA team, my experience is in federal and publicly funded projects of all scales, working alongside cities and counties to solve their infrastructure needs. I am fortunate to have found a career that allows me to practice my love for problem solving, but still tests my knowledge of design.
Outside of the office I spend my time experimenting in the kitchen, shopping for the best deal, hiking Montana’s picturesque trails, and traveling all over our beautiful country. Most recently I have taken up skiing, which has proven to be one of my biggest adventures yet.
