Knowles Hall Renovation - University of Montana
Identified as a high need during the UM Student Life Master Plan completed in 2020, design to renovate the popular but aging Knowles Hall was began. Located on the popular and picturesque Ryman Walk and across from the future New Dining Hall, Knowles Hall was originally constructed in 1963 and had not had significant improvements since that time. Embracing the existing character of the building’s 60’s design, the renovated project will create shared spaces throughout to encourage community as well as provide students for additional study locations. Knowles will also be upgraded to comply with accessibility standards throughout the entire dormitory and will have all new mechanical, electrical and systems allowing this 1963 facility to continue as a popular residence hall for many decades of future Grizzlies!
