Julie Goetz, NCIDQ
Hi y’all! I can say whole-heartedly that deciding to pack up and move from Oklahoma to Bozeman, is hands down the best decision my husband and I have ever made (aside from deciding to get our dog, Maeley)! It feels a little cliché to say but the desire for adventure and the opportunity to live in some of the most beautiful country we have ever seen, were big driving factors for us. I do not think I will ever get tired of seeing the Bridger Mountains on my way to work every day!
My journey to becoming a designer was the result of a twist of interesting events from switching my major a time or two to a life changing summer internship in Anchorage, AK that set me back on track to getting to do something I love for a living. I received my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Oklahoma (BOOMER) and received my NCIDQ certification shortly after. My experience ranges across many project types from corporate to hospitality and heavily in education. Bringing a client’s vision to fruition and finding new ways to grow and learn with each project are just a few of the many ways this career brings me joy. Spending so much of our day-to-day indoors, the phrase “bringing the outside inside” has been a constant source of inspiration for me in design. If there is an opportunity to use a water feature or a wall planter in a project…I will find it!
Outside of the office I am always planning our next domestic or foreign adventures. Disney World is always high on my list but my husband is a tricky one to convince. I love cooking, overly ambitious DIY projects, just about anything outdoors, and some good ole’ true crime (podcast or documentary, I do not discriminate).
