Following almost ten years of legislative work and several election votes, the East Helena community has now expanded into a K-12 School District to provide their students with continuous, local education. 

 

SMA Architects and NAC Architecture collaborated with the East Helena School District to complete the pre-bond planning and programming. The efforts provided the District with cost estimating to set a bond amount, educational specifications, programming, preliminary plans, renderings and marketing support to pass the bond successfully. The new school is being designed for 600+ students as a Class A school. The new school is equipped with flexible, 21st century spaces, a multi-use commons/cafeteria and adjoining stage, a full gym and auxiliary gym, fine and performing arts programs, Career Technical Education spaces, and state-of-the-art educational spaces.

SMA Architects and NAC Architecture is completing the remaining design work to complete the design. The new school operned its doors to its first class in August 2020.
