Nicole Anderson, AIA, NCARB
Since joining SMA in 2016, I have found my stride managing some of our largest mixed-use, multifamily development and commercial projects. These scopes have included designs of all scales, including everything from master planning to mixed-use projects that enhance the user and community experience and serve the growing need for attainable housing in Helena and Bozeman.
My passion for architecture runs deeper than just design and is instead rooted in a desire to problem-solve. As a member of the SMA team, helping our clients achieve their goals through problem solving and communication is one of my favorite parts of the process. I am fortunate to have found a career that allows me to practice my love for problem-solving, but still tests my knowledge of design.
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, I am proud to have had the opportunity to call Central Washington home. My journey to Montana was driven by my thirst for any type of adventure and my desire to be a part of a community that values relationships and hard work. Outside of the office, I spend my time managing the renovation project list for our 1935 fixer-upper, experimenting in the kitchen, hiking Montana’s picturesque trails, and traveling all over our beautiful country. Most recently I have taken up skiing, which has proven to be one of my biggest adventures yet.
