Charley Franklin, AIA, NCARB
Principal | Director - Bozeman
As a native Montanan, I am truly grateful to be able to live, work, and raise my family in this incredible state. My wonderful wife, three children and I enjoy the outdoors and are always looking for an adventure. I am an alumni of both the University of Montana (Anthropology and Philosophy) and Montana State University (Architecture), which always leads to interesting questions around the end of November (Bobcat/Griz Brawl of the Wild). As with both of my former schools, I am proud to have been involved with so many wonderful people and projects over the years. It’s been a pleasure to help shape the way Montanans live, work and do business.
My time at SMA is spent on a vast array of commercial, educational, mixed-use, residential, and historic preservation projects. I see each day as an opportunity to express my client’s goals, always striving to exceed expectations. Careful attention to detail, and an eye for creative problem solving, allow me to bring a high level of quality to any project.
I am grateful and excited to be leading the SMA Bozeman office. Every day is a pleasure working with such an energetic, thoughtful, and creative team. It’s amazing to see what can be achieved together.
