Construction on the Intermountain Community Services Center is progressing at the building site in Helena, Montana. The construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2013! The Community Services Center will be the first integrated children's mental health center in the state of Montana, offering children’s psychological assessment and outpatient therapy, psychiatric clinic, in-home support for birth/kinship, adoptive and foster families and school-based counseling and therapy. SMA is proud to be a part of the team, which includes Diamond Construction, Design 3 Engineering, and Stahly Engineering and Associates, and is looking forward to the construction process and completion of the building in December.

SMA is honored to have received a historic preservation award from the Helena / Lewis and Clark County Historic Preservation Commission for the historic Patenaude Home at 222 Broadway in Helena, MT. SMA worked with Lewis and Clark County, Golden Eagle Construction and Design 3 Engineering to restore and update this historic building, located adjacent to the Lewis and Clark County Courthouse.

Intermountain broke ground on October 25th on two additional cottages for its residential treatment campus in Helena, MT. Partially funded by the Department of Commerce's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the cottages will include residential and therapy spaces for children and their families. The team, which includes Intermountain staff, is focusing on thoughtful, responsive, and emotionally safe spaces which support Intermountain's vision of "Restoring Hope to Children."

Shodair Family House
Shodair Family House, a Ronald McDonald type of housing for children and their families, broke ground for construction this summer. Shodair Children's Hospital serves both acute and residential psychiatric inpatient services to children and adolescents. This project provides a home atmosphere for visiting families and their children, allowing for private and therapeutic interactions to take place. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2013!
Montana State University North Hedges 3 construction is continuing at a rapid pace with an expected completion of July 2013. All of the structural steel erection and floor slab construction is complete and interior wall framing, interior utilities rough-in and window installation is currently underway. SMA continues to work with Mithun, Beaudette Consulting Engineers, MKK Engineers, Jackson Contractor Group, and MSU to oversee the construction phase of the project. The new North Hedges Suites 3 has incorporated many green and sustainable aspects and is targeting LEED Gold certification.
